Jonathan W. Sweet

Jonathan W. Sweet is an award-winning journalist and the author of ten books. He has also contributed to or edited more than 30 anthologies and collections. Most of his work—both fiction and nonfiction—has a Minnesota slant.

He is the founder of Brick Pickle Pulp, which publishes books in the classic pulp style. Jonathan also hosts the Pulp Nostalgia & Old Time Radio Podcast and the World War II Radio Podcast.  

His work has been published by Airship 27, Blue Planet Press, Little Rapids Press and other small presses. His journalism and interviews have appeared in dozens of newspapers and magazines from small weekly papers to large national dailies and magazines. His journalism has earned him more than two dozen national awards, including two Jesse H. Neal awards, considered the "Pulitzer Prize of business writing."

Jonathan is a four-time finalist for the Pulp Factory Award, recognizing the best in modern noir/pulp writing, and in 2020 he was named to the “Who’s Who in New Pulp."

Jonathan lives in the Twin Cities with his wife, two exceptional children and one fairly dim-witted dog.
